Dr. Brant Houston is the Knight Chair Professor in Investigative and Enterprise Reporting at the University of Illinois College of Media: Department of Journalism. Heavily involved in the field as well as the study and teaching of reporting and journalism, Brant works with many online projects that span from across the country to right here in Champaign-Urbana.  Brant co-founded CU-Citizen Access,  a community online news and information project devoted to investigative and enterprise coverage of social, justice and economic issues in east central Illinois, and has been using social media as an integral part of doing research in his field. Watch as Professor Houston gives insightful advice for aspiring journalists and explains current trends in the field. In addition, listen to Brent touch on topics such as the the future of journalism in our digital age, news credibility, community information contribution, and new news delivery models.
